Panasonic Malaysia recently unveiled 12 of its latest LUMIX digitial cameras in the beautiful Golden Palm Tree Resort and Spa, Sepang. In total, 12 new models were launched and each one comes with various cutting-edge features and sets to be the ideal camera for everyone. The new LUMIX range is our answer to the escalating demands of the digital camera market. Aside from the importance of excellent picture quality, Panasonic recognize that taking a picture today goes hand-in-hand with shareing and communicating. Therefore these new models are engineered to enhance the point-and-shoot experience, while complementing the lives of modern individuals.

The DMC-TZ20 is a 14.1-megapixel model that offers 16x optical zoom, enhanced GPS function, full-HD recording in AVCHD format, and 3-D still shot functionality. The DMC-LX5, meanwhile, comes with 10.1-megapixel sensor and features the F2.0 Leica DC Vario-Summicron Lens, HD movie recording in AVCHD format, and Power Optical Image Stabiliser mode.
Launched earlier, the GF2 is the smallest and lightest system camera with built-in flash while the GH2 comes with 16.05-megapixel LMOS Sensor and Venus Engine FHD for precision in shooting, and full-HD 24P Cinema mode with 24Mbps movie recording.
Other models include the DMC-TZ18 with geo-tagging feature, the DMC-FT3 and DMC-FT10 for water sports lovers, and the DMC-FX78 and DMC700 for the style-conscious. For everyday use, the models include DMC-FH27, DMC-FH25, DMC-F5, DMC-F2, DMC-FP7 and DMC-FP5.
Panasonic will also release beginner models — DMC-S3 and DMC-S1 — as well as the ultra high zoom cameras, DMC-FZ100 and FZ40. All models will be available in stores by the end of this month. To spruce up its camcorder line up, Panasonic has made full-HD 1,920 by 1,080 movie recording a standard offering in its new models. Each camcorder model offers optical image stabiliser to accommodate shooting while walking.
The HDC-TM900 and HDC-HS900 are compatible with the optional 3-D conversion Lens VW-CLT1, while MDC-TM80, HDC-SD80 and HDC-HS80 each comes with advanced Zoom Mic and Wind Noise Canceller functions. The HDC-SD40 is the lightest, weighing 169g, while the SDR-H101, SDR-T76 and SDR-S71 come with 78x zoom and 33mm wide-angle setting.

As a replacement to the bestselling DMC-TZ10, the DMC-TZ20 features a 14.1-megapixel sensor, ultra-wide-angle Leica lens and 16x optical zoom. It also supports Full HD Movie Recording at 1080p.
