MATTA FAIR PWTC OFFERED BETTER TOURISM DEALS

The  Malaysian Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair is back at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur this weekends. With more than 185 exhibitors in this second travel fair to be organised this year after a successful one in March. 80,000 visitors expected to come and RM1.9mil turnover from  more than 855 booths within a space of 20,000sq metres in exhibition hall 1, 2, 3 and also at the linkway of PWTC. The exhibitors include tour operators, travel agents, tourism organisations, airlines, hotels and resorts and travel-related products and services.  Fun and exciting activities and international performances have been included while visitors are shopping for travel packages.There are also discounts and loyalty bonus for the early birds.

The fair has maintained the Buyer’s Contest whereby all one needed to do was to buy a RM200 domestic travel package and stand a chance to win the main prize of RM5,000 worth of travel vouchers. The contest’s grand prize of RM20,000 worth of travel vouchers awaits the winner with just RM5,000 payment for any travel package. Holders of the Matta Credit Card issued by the EON bank Group would not only enter the fair for free, but would also enjoy plenty of goodies by using the credit card.

One of the attractive deals is from Taiwan with 145 representatives from 85 entities, such as the Taipei City and county governments, tourism companies, domestic travel agencies, leisure farms, theme parks, and other tourism-related agencies will be promoting Taiwan with the tourism tagline “touch your heart”. At the Taiwan Tourism workshop held on Wednesday, local tourism industry players and reporters were given a presentation of what Taiwan has to offer and the upcoming Taipei International Flora Expo held from Nov 6 to April 25 2011.

Available exclusively during the fair, Malaysians aged between 15 and 30 can take advantage of the one time 35% discount on return air trip to Taiwan and a special extra 10kg allowance on checked-in luggage also  travel incentives offered by the National Youth Commission (NYC), which promotes youth travel to Taiwan.

Visitors to the NYC booth can also scratch and win gifts such as mobile phone charms, reusable bags, headbands, as well as the jackpot prize of a free return air trip for one from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei.
