This time, the authority likely to back up mat rempit in malaysia to entering a more benefit activities to do rather than to waste time with illegal motorcycles races that could kill themselves. sponsor will be give by state goverment for them to participate in motocycles grand prix so Malaysian can polish  talented racer to be our potential international motogp rider.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government is on an all-out crusade to rid public roads of Mat Rempit by offering to sponsor them for international motorcycle grand prix events.

The offer came from Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said as the Mat Rempit menace has reached an alarming level in the state.

“I want to tell youths that indulging in illegal motorcycle races is unwise as they can use their time and resources for beneficial activities.

“We are willing to render other assistance to those who are interested in becoming professional racers besides sponsoring them for the grand prix circuit,” he said here.

Authorities in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, have said they are willing to sponsor Mat Rempit in future international Grand Prix events.
 
“Lucky old Mat,” we hear you say, but this isn’t an Australian racer looking for overseas sponsorship – far from it – ‘Mat Rempit’ is the Malaysian term for ‘illegal street racers’.

Authorities are launching a new initiative to try and help rid Malaysia’s city streets from the hordes of illegal stunt riders and racers that plague the road network, mostly during the hours of darkness.

He also appealed to Mat Rempit not to risk the lives of others by racing illegally on public roads.

Sports and Youth Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Rahin Mohd Said said Terengganu was going ahead with plans to build a RM4.1mil race circuit in Gong Badak, close to the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.
