This was what the FZ8 looked a like before
and to turn into this latest official FZ8 from Yamaha website.
so can you spot the differences?
Yamaha released an official picture of the entire new 2010 yamaha FZ8 in it’s full colorful form after leaked images were published. As seen from the earlier black and white photos, the Yamaha FZ8 is based heavily off of the FZ1, which may suggest where itsFZ8 rformance features come. The single official image of the naked FZ8 what we have waiting in passion.
The new FZ8 is based very closely on the FZ1, its 1000cc big brother. Like that bike both half-faired (Fazer) and naked (FZ8) versions will be available. The motor is believed to be a sleeved-down version of the FZ1 engine and to produce around 120bhp compared to the FZ1’s 150.

No details have been released about the bike as yet although it is believed that the 800cc engine will deliver around 120bhp – 30 less than it’s 1,000 big brother the FZ1.
Depending on your point of view that will make it a more powerful version FZ6 or more agile FZ1. The chassis which looks similar pattern to the FZ1. That being the sharper tool than the FZ6’s slightly more easy-going outlook on life should make FZ8 a lively weapon.
Although it would have been nice, don’t expect a MotoGP bike 800cc engine in the FZ8. It’s more likely to be beefed-up FZ6 motor, or possibly a slimmed-down FZ1, either way amounts to the same thing.
The FZ8 will be joined by a Fazer 8 which is the same, bikini-faired model we’re familiar with on Fazer 6 and Fazer 1000 models. The 800cc new venture is what makes this bike exciting.
Theorectically, this would make the FZ8 a more sophisticated middle displacement bike in Yamaha, allowing Yamaha to better compete with bikes like the BMW F800R, Triumph Street Triple, and Aprilia Shiver 750.
the 2010 Yamaha FZ8 to feature its own unique powerplant, but wouldn’t be surprised if some of the tech from the R6 made it into the naked bike’s design. While the FZ8 is certain to hit the shores of the EU, its US arrival is less certain.
before the revealing, Motociclismoit has also gotten shots of what they believe to be the FZ8 final form, i.e. in the nude. The fairing-less motorcycle will be built of the same chassis as the 2010 Yamaha FZ8R, but will sport a different headlight to accentuate the exposed frame and motor more adequately.
