FIRST UNIQLO ATTIRE STORE IN MALAYSIA
UNIQLO had selected the newly renovated Fahrenheit 88 shopping centre located in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur as their first store in Malaysia as plan in the fourth quarter of this year.
This Japan’s number one fashion brand and a worldwide leader in casual wear has accelerate expansion into the South-East Asian market after launch Singapore UNIQLO and currently has a total of 944 stores worldwide, with 809 of them located in Japan.

UNIQLO Plans To Open First Store In Malaysia In Fourth Quarter
KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) — UNIQLO, Japan’s number one fashion brand and a worldwide leader in casual wear, plans to open its first store in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of this year.
In a statement Wednesday, UNIQLO said it would be making its debut as an anchor tenant at the newly renovated Fahrenheit 88 shopping centre located in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
“Our foray into the Malaysian market 18 months after the debut of UNIQLO Singapore seems natural as it is in line with our effort to globalise and accelerate our expansion into the South-East Asian market,” said Satoshi Onoguchi, managing director of UNIQLO (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and UNIQLO (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
For the Malaysian store, UNIQLO entered into a joint venture with DNP Clothing Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Wing Tai Asia, with a capital of RM18.8 million.
The Japanese company owns 55 per cent of stake while DNP Clothing owns the remaining 45 per cent.
UNIQLO currently has a total of 944 stores worldwide, with 809 of them located in Japan.
The company aims to open more stores in all major cities around the global and will continue to establish itself as a global brand.
Its expansion to Singapore in April last year marked UNIQLO’s entry into the South-East Asian market.
