The all-new Suzuki Smash V115 designed to be a fuel-efficient , user-friendly underbone motorcycle, very economical and environmentally-friendly motorcycle.

The new 112.8 cc four-stroke engine bike could accelerate a 200-metre distance in 13.29 seconds with top speed of 97.8 km per hour. Rider could gain 10 more kilometers per litre with low fuel consumption of 50.2 km per litre as against 40.5 km per litre achieved by other motorcycles. For Suzuki Smash v115 price, there will be 3 price range tagging for 3 variants suzuki model respectedly.
Those three variants of the model launched are being offered with suzuki smash v115 basic model, suzuki smash v115 SD model and suzuki smash v115 SCD model. The basic model comes with spoke rims and kick starter would be priced around RM4,368 per unit, while the SD which priced at RM4,597 having a front disk brake and electric starter. In other hand, the premium SCD has sport rims, an electric starter and front disk brake will be sell at RM4,847.
SHAH ALAM, Oct 21 : Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia Sdn Bhd expects to sell 1,200 units monthly of its newly launched motorcycle, the Suzuki Smash V115, said its Managing Director Toru Kobayashi. Three variants of the model launched today, are being offered. The basic model comes with spoke rims and kick starter, with the SD having a front disk brake and electric starter, while the premium SCD has sport rims, an electric starter and front disk brake.
The price has not yet been finalised but Kobayashi indicated the basic model would be priced around RM4,368 per unit, RM4,597 for the SD variant with the SCD estimated at RM4,847.
At the press conference after the launch, Kobayashi said the bike came with a new engine design focusing on fuel consumption, better and smoother power delivery as well as low exhaust emission.
Suzuki claim the bike has a top speed of 97.8 km per hour and can sprint a 200-metre distance in 13.29 seconds.It also has a fuel consumption of 50.2 km per litre as against 40.5 km per litre achieved by other rivals. According to Kobayashi, the launch of the new 112.8 cc four-stroke engine bike, is part of the company’s strategy to improve its market share locally. At the moment, Suzuki only commands three percent of the market and aims to raise the bar to 10 percent in three years time.
He said, the performance of the local motorcycle industry from January to August this year, had been encouraging, with total sales of all makes reaching 346,512 units. This he added, is a 12.4 percent increase, from the same corresponding period last year. He said for the whole of this year, Suzuki estimates it can only sell 16,500 units, whereas in 2009 it sold 18,500 units.
When asked about the declining sales, he said it could be due to the launch of new models by competitors Honda motorcycles and Yamaha motor, earlier this year. Kobayashi said the company plans to bring in another new model for the local market next year but declined to elaborate further.
The Suzuki Smash V115’s newly designed 4-stroke engine combines high power with lower fuel consumption, delivering more engine performance throughout the powerband, from low to high rpm, compared to previous models. Suzuki Smash V115’s compact chassis design features an underbone-type frame built for superb overall rigidity,
The newly-designed seat is shaped to match the chassis, and the lower seat height contributes to an easier leg reach for the rider.It also features a new, edgy design inspired by large Suzuki sports bikes, like the GSX-R series. The headlight and rear combination lamps are both multi-reflecting.
The new speedometer has a distinctive design reminiscent of sports watches, with larger-sized numbers for easier reading. Other features include the odometer, gear position indicator, pointer-type fuel gauge, turn signal indicator and high-beam indicator.
Other key feature includes a large 8.0 liters storage space under the seat. The turn signal, horn, engine start buttons and choke lever have also been improved for smoother operation. Last but not least, the ignition switch now comes with a theft-prevention magnetic shutter which closes/opens using a magnet attached to the end of the ignition key.
The new Suzuki Smash V115 comes in four vivid colours: Candy Summer Red, Pearl Vigor Blue, New Titan Black and Pearl Mirage White.
