VEGANOMICON COOKBOOK GIVE MORE 240 DAILY VEGAN RECIPES

Learn how to cook vegetables so that they’re flavourful, enticing and exciting” is what the authors aim to do in Veganomicon: The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook. Published by Da Capo Press, Veganomicon is a good old-fashioned all-purpose cookbook with recipes written by both fame Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero for everyday meals. This book has so much to offer, with many cooking styles that may help children eat veggies with less complains or help those with diet restrictions have more food options other than plain lettuce.

Try grilling vegetables to bring out their flavour with olive oil or garlic or lemon juice. If outdoor grilling on a good weather is not possible then a cast iron grill pan can still work wonders on your stove. How about roasting vegetables in the oven which involves very little work while the vegetables are cooking? All you need is some oil, salt and pepper. You can add dried herbs before cooking or fresh ones before the vegetables are done. Cook them in single layer for an even and perfect roasting.

In Malaysia, we are more familiar with rice than polenta or millet. We have eaten black-eyed peas (the bean, not the band), chickpeas (steamed, curried or cooked into hummus and falafel) and kidney beans found their way onto our plates at the salad bars. With so many recipes in the book ,you are spoilt for choice. Some ingredients may be harder to find in our supermarkets or health food and organic stores but you will not go wrong with the many choices of fresh vegetables found at our local markets and the grains and beans that we have here.
