NOKIA 5130 XPRESS MUSIC: PLAY IT LOUD - BEST LOUDSPEAKER PHONE SPEAK BEST MUSIC BEAT - EASY MUSIC CONTROL - SPECS AND REVIEW

The Nokia 5130 is a solid shaped mobile phone  is one of the lightest mobile phones around. The screen is 2 inches, which is a good size and very easy to read and view images. Being a music phone, Nokia have placed a few music-dedicated buttons on the side of the screen to make it easier to control and change your tracks and volume, with the keypad being beneath the screen. You can get the Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic in either red or blue.

NOKIA 5130 XPRESS MUSIC REVIEW

Nokia have recently been pushing more and more into the music phone market, a market that has for some time now been dominated by Sony Ericsson with their Walkman phone range. Nokia have definitely been making some headway, and one of their music dedicated phones in this market is the Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic.

It’s easy to dismiss the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic as just another ordinary handset. Its styling is plain and can easily get lost in the sea of chic-looking phones in the market today. But looks can be deceiving, so they say. Plus, you know what your mother told you about judging the book by its cover: don’t.

Sure, it’s small and slim and weighs a mere 88 grams, but the 5130 certainly won’t win any beauty contests. On second look, however this average-looking phone is one of the best-performing music phones today— and with an affordable price tag at that.

The sound quality coming from either your standard 3.5mm earphones or the speakers of the 5130 XpressMusic is impressive (Nokia claims it has embedded this model with an audio chip that makes the crystal-clear audio possible). The loudspeaker gives off the same music quality as when you’re listening through your headphones, albeit with a limited range in volume. Note, too, that the speaker is at the back of the device, which is why the only way you can maximize your listening pleasure using the loudspeaker is to have it lying on its face. All in all, though, the loudspeaker is good enough to enjoy music on the go.

Since this is an XpressMusic phone, Nokia equipped it with dedicated music keys, which are housed on the left side of the handset. Aside from album art and a 5-band equalizer, the audio player supports a wide range of audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, and MP4, which can be organized by artist, genre, composer, or playlist. An FM radio is also built-in. Want to enjoy music wirelessly? The 5130 supports Bluetooth headphones.

The Nokia 5130 camera has 2 mega pixels with 4 times digital zoom. There really is not much other specifications for the camera, so although it is quite basic, the pictures it takes will be decent.  There is 30 mega bytes of internal memory and, with a microSD card, this can be increased to 4 GB. As mentioned earlier the music dedicated buttons are along the side of the screen. It is possible to also get the Nokia 5130 Comes with Music Edition. Basically this means that you will receive free music downloads for a entire year.

You will find the basic applications on the Nokia 5130, such as organiser, calendar, alarm etc, as well as some advanced connectivity features like Bluetooth and GPRS.

In summary, the Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic might not have the technically specification for the music player that we would normally receive from a Walkman phone, but the music player is high quality, the phone is very thin, and the Comes with Music Edition means you will never be without the songs you want.

  4. Interesting idea. I do think the ability to have faith is important; it has puzzled me before that some people with truly nightmarish childhoods have the ability to hope for something better while others from less damaging backgrounds are less able. Some people can keep the idea of “goodness” alive even if they’ve experienced very little of it.
